In getting prepared for the up and coming election season, I’ve been doing research for our local positions and propositions. Elections are a very hard and this election cycle is no different.
With misinformation, anger and jealousy, it’s a constant battle to be prepared to vote responsibly.
Recently, I was reading a blog from one of the candidates running for Santa Cruz County Sheriff.
This man was complaining and blustering, how one of his opponents had already set his campaign in motion, with a website, fundraising, and had an endorsement from our current county sheriff.
Since when is being prepared for advancement in your career, or any life experience, a bad thing?
My husband and our boys were Boy Scouts, isn’t that their motto: “Be Prepared”?
Do we want a sheriff that’s not prepared and is pointing fingers? Or do we want someone who knows how to get things done, for our next county sheriff? Chief Wowak would have never endorsed Jim Hart if he hadn’t believed that his Chief Deputy wasn’t up for the job.
I personally respect people who look forward and are prepared for what comes at them.
