7 p.m.: A resident of the 700 block of Graham Hill Road in Santa Cruz reported that someone had burglarized her parked, locked vehicle and stolen an Apple laptop after smashing a window.
7:30 p.m.: Deputies took a report after a man claimed that his ex-girlfriend had slashed all four tires on his vehicle and smashed a window on the 600 block of Summit Drive in Bonny Doon.
2:15 p.m.: A parked vehicle was broken into and burglarized outside a business on the 15500 block of Highway 9 in Boulder Creek. A handbag was among the items reported missing.

Between Dec. 31 and Jan. 6, officers received 12 separate reports of graffiti on Kings Village Road, Highway 17, Mount Hermon Road, and Bethany Drive.
2:42 a.m.: Officers took a report after someone broke the drive-thru window using a large stick with a metal point after being told that the establishment, located on Scotts Valley Drive, was closed.
9:41 a.m.: A resident of Sidesaddle Circle reported that someone had stolen the baby Jesus from their Nativity scene.
9:50 a.m.: A business on El Pueblo Road reported that someone had twice broken into a shed on the property, and had cut a lock and chain the second time.
10:18 a.m.: A business on El Pueblo Road reported that someone had forced entry into a fenced area and had stolen recycling.
2:14 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a woman sitting on side of the road near the middle school on Bean Creek Road either crying or laughing hysterically at the top of the driveway near the basketball courts. Officers contacted a man who was arrested and booked at jail for public intoxication.
11:29 a.m.: A business on Mount Hermon Road reported a theft after a woman entered with an empty bag and allegedly stole several items.
11:09 a.m.: A resident of Lauren Circle reported that someone had stolen the baby Jesus from their Nativity scene.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
Cal Fire, along with Ben Lomond Fire Protection District, responded to a small fire at the Ben Lomond Transfer Station on Newell Creek Road after hot coals that had been improperly disposed of in the trash ignited. The smoke alarms summoned the fire crews, who extinguished the blaze before any damage occurred.
